Stephan H. Zag-Zero: Guitars / Concept-story

In 2002, Akphaezya is born as an idea, the project of one man : the guitarist Stephan H. Soon, Nehl Aelin (Voices / Piano), Loic Moussaoui (Drums) and Stephane Beguier (Bass) joined him and made this concept become a real band.

In 2004, the band released its first demo: "Anthology II" (demo version) congratulated by critics:
France (18/20 "Metal-immortel", 9/10 "les acteurs de l'Ombre"),
Canada (18/20 "l'Edition Metallique"), Belgium ("Lefantastique.net" and "Chimaera"),
Marocco (9/10 "Marcoc magazine")

From 2004 to 2006, the band gave several gigs in France (Astrolabe, Pleiade...) and Belgium (Magasin 4 in Brussels, Soundstation in Liege).

In 2006: the band found a distributor in USA (Sonic Cathedral).

In August 2007, the band decided to record its first album "Anthology II: Links from the dead trinity", mixed and mastered by Brett Caldas Lima in Tower Studio.

In 2008, Ascendance Records, label set up by Lee Barrett (founder of Candlelight Records) signed Akphaezya and released the album with an international promotion and distribution done by Plastichead and it was praised by european press.

In 2009 and 2010, Akphaezya gaves several gigs in famous festival and stages: ProgPower Europe (Hol), Poulpaphone (Fr), H'elles on stage (Fr), Glasart (Paris), Metalloween (Fr), with a lot of bands as: Unexpect (Can), Dark Ages (Ger), Tagada Jones (Fr), Puppet Mastaz (Ger), Ultra Vomit (Fr), Hacride (Fr), Nesseria (Fr), Evergrey (Sue), etc...

In 2010 / 2011, the new album is recorded and mixed by S.Biguet (Trepalium, klone, Comity...) and mastered by Brian "Big bass" Gardner (Down, Lamb of God, Queen, Suicidal Tendencies, QOTSA, Infectious grooves, etc...).

In 2011: Akphaezya inked a new album deal with the cult label Code666 / Aural Music (Atrox, Aghora, Konkhra...).

March 2012: Release date of the new album "Anthology IV: The tragedy of Nerak".
